Asalto! Officers & Sepoys! 19th Century Game of Mutiny and Revolt! English India War Strategic Board Game.
Asalto! Also known as Officers & Sepoys, is a wonderful strategy game of skill in which one player attempts to storm the stronghold and capture both of the "Officers" defending the castle. The game was originally known as Asalto and is a variant of a more ancient game known as Fox & Geese, but it earned a new name in the mid 19th Century during the Indian Mutiny of 1957, when Indian troops known as the Sepoys revolted against their English Officers.
The game is easy to learn and extremely fun to play, combining both cunning strategy and bold combat. The board comes as shown, with a beautifully done hand painted finish and hand made glass marbles. The board itself measures 11.25" x 11.25" and was designed and built by me here in my small Portland, Oregon workshop. Each and every game I sell is produced here, when you buy one of my games you are buying something that is built by hand by the artist who designed it.
