Rota is a mysterious game from Ancient Rome. Game boards have been found carved into stone in temples and buildings throughout the former Roman Empire. The exact history of the game is unknown but it's rules of play were re-invented in the first part of the 19th Century. A simple and enjoyable game to play, this would be the perfect gift for the lover of Roman history or Abstract Games... or both!

The game comes as shown, with the board, playing pawns and instructions for play. The board is made of beautiful birch and is hand finished as shown. The board measure 6x6 inches.
