Tutankhamun's Senet Game! Detailed Recreation of the Senet Board found in the Tomb of King Tut in 1922! Hand Made Ancient Egyptian Game.

Considered by many to be the first board game, the Egyptian game of SENET dates back to as far as 3100 BC. There were four Senet boards of various sizes and materials found in the tomb of King Tutankhamen by Howard Carter in 1922, so it was clearly a favorite pastime for the young King. This recreation is based on one of the game boards found in the tomb, a legendary artifact from the Carter Expedition.

This amazing recreation of that historic game carries all of the aesthetics of the original boards from thousands of years ago. The most striking feature on the original artifact are the intricate carved lion legs that support the game board and I have recreated the legs down to the finest detail.

The board with carriage measures 12.5" inches long, 7" inches tall on it's carriage and 4" wide. It comes as shown, with game board, carriage (which includes the game rules engraved in the carriage surface), four Egyptian Dice, also known as casting sticks and 10 pawns.

The hieroglyphics engraved on the games body are exact replicas of the markings on the original artifact, right down to every detail.

UPDATE: Currently the pawns for this game are made in black and white. The resin that I normally used for the faience colored pieces is not currently available from my supplier so the pawns that are shown in that color will come in black.
